PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

Future elections for President must be about the candidate not a Party. It is best if the President run independently of Party. The election being about the Candidate means there are certain minimum requirements for being a candidate for President of the USA. 1) He or she must have military service because the USA has a philosophy of perpetual war. 2) Must have a law degree and preferably a political science degree. 3) Must have a global orientation toward WorldPeace. 4) Must be focused on the problem of Global warming and maintaining the global environment and ending the extinction of species. 5) Must believe in the global propagation of democratic governments. 6) Must have an understanding of the world's 5 major religions: Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism. 7) Must be committed to first-class citizenship for woman nationally and globally and have no history of sexism and must support the Equal Rights Amendment. 8) Must have no history of promoting racism. 9) Must make available an depth personal biography. 10) Must have an understanding of national and global economics and trade. 11) Must publish a detailed national and global vision for the world human society. 12) Must be for the deletion of the Electoral College from the Constitution such that future Presidents will be elected by the majority vote.
Friends what we see about to happen in the Democratic Party is an overextended contest for a Democratic candidate for President. Fully 2/3 of those potential candidates are not qualified to run for more than congressman and maybe senator. Certainly not for President of the United States. Such candidates need to be discouraged from running but not prevented from running.
Party politics is destroying American Democracy because the President is aligned with one party or the other. If the president is independent he can act as a compromising force to stop the shut down of any part of the government over party politics. It is good to have a two party system as thye presently exists. It is not always workable to have a President aligned with one or the other of those two major parties.
Let me summarize the current Political Situation. 1) We have an incompetent President who is more focused on his ego than what is good for the majority of Americans. 2) We have a President elected by a minority of the voters and he is, therefore, pushing minority rule in a Democratic Nation that was founded on majority rule. 3) We have the head of the Senate majority blocking legislation in order to protect the president who is of the same party and supporting the shut down of the government.
American Democracy has some major flaws with regards to the Presidency that must be removed. The primary flaw is the non-democratic Electoral College. This can be easily resolved by removing the Electoral College from the Constitution.
The second problem, we must end Party politics that create government shutdowns. This is a more dynamic problem.
